WHAT YOU’LL LOVEENGINEERED FOR PERFORMANCEOffering impressive output, accuracy and sound quality at moderate power levels, the W1v3 series subwoofers provide an immersive audio experience that can fit comfortably in space-saving enclosures, thanks to the speakers’ shallow mounting depths with no pole vent clearance to accommodate.
DYNAMIC MOTOR ANALYSIS (DMA) OPTIMIZED SPEAKERSDMA delivers linear motor force over a wide range of speaker excursion and power levels. The result is tight, clean and articulate bass performance with ultralow distortion and stellar sound quality.
POLYPROPYLENE CONE TECHNOLOGYThe W1v3 series’ injection-molded, black mica-filled polypropylene cone structure with rubber surround offers crisp, strong bass output matched with the rigidity and durability to withstand extended play at high volume levels. An aluminum dust cap with the JL Audio logo adds a finishing accent.
SHALLOW MOUNTING DEPTHSThe W1v3 subwoofers’ shallow mounting depths and compact motor structure allow the drivers to comfortably fit in spaces where a typical subwoofer will not. For example, the 10-inch W1v3 needs only 4.6 inches of mounting depth.
CUSTOM ACCENTSTo add a personal touch to your subwoofer’s looks, an included trim ring can be painted to match the color scheme of your installation. Optional steel-mesh grille inserts (sold separately) add style and protection for your subwoofer – and the removable trim ring receives these inserts directly to make grille installation a snap.
POWERFULLY ADAPTABLEOn a wide array of vehicle applications, with sealed or ported enclosures, the W1v3 subwoofers deliver superb sound quality and power handling. Both the 10- and 12-inch versions support pairing with amplifiers in the 75- to 300-watt range. The 8-inch woofer has a 50- to 100-watt amplifier range.
AUDIO TECHNOLOGIESELEVATED FRAME COOLINGThe patented JL Audio elevated frame cooling design creates a pathway for high-velocity air to flow directly across the top plate of the speaker voice coil – cooling it for better power handling and improved reliability.
ENGINEERED
LEAD-WIRE SYSTEMCarefully engineered lead-wire design and attachments ensure controlled, quiet lead-wire behavior under the most extreme excursion demands.
FCAM TECHNOLOGYThis “floating cone attach method” of bonding the surround/cone assembly to the voice coil former/spider structure ensures proper surround geometry in the assembled speaker for better excursion control and dynamic voice coil alignment.
VENTED REINFORCEMENT COLLARThe JL Audio VRC collar design improves the rigidity and stability of the cone/spider/voice coil junction and directs airflow over the voice coil windings for improved thermal performance.

If you are using 0.625 in (16 mm) thick material, subtract 0.25 in (6.5 mm) from each dimension. Do not use any material with a thickness of less than 0.625 in (16 mm) as this may compromise the rigidity of the enclosure.
All enclosure volumes listed above are net internal volumes! Driver displacement, port displacement and brace displacement must be added to obtain the final gross internal volume. All enclosure dimensions above have already taken this into account.
When using multiples in a common enclosure you will need to recalculate the enclosure and port dimensions. For assistance please contact your authorized JL Audio dealer or JL Audio Technical Support.
We recommend the use of this in a bi-amplified system using high-quality satellites and a high-quality amplifier. We do not recommend the use of this with a passive crossover (coil), as this type of device will adversely affect performance.
