Effective Date: December 30, 2025
This Consumer Limited Warranty explains the limited warranty coverage available for qualifying products purchased through our store. It is intended to provide protection against certain defects in materials and workmanship while recognizing that customers may have additional rights under applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial or local laws. Nothing contained in this warranty is intended to eliminate, reduce or interfere with consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted in the jurisdiction where a product was purchased or used.
For eligible non-aviation products, limited warranty coverage generally applies for one year beginning on the original purchase date. If a covered product develops a defect in materials or workmanship during the applicable warranty period while being operated under normal conditions and for its intended use, we may evaluate the claim and determine an appropriate remedy. Depending on the circumstances, the available resolution may include repair, replacement or another remedy permitted under this warranty and applicable law. When warranty service is approved, qualifying parts and labor are generally provided without additional charge. Customers may nevertheless be responsible for costs related to shipping, transportation, handling or delivery of the product to and from a service location.
This warranty is designed primarily to address manufacturing defects and material failures. It does not ordinarily cover normal deterioration, routine wear or damage that results from circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing defect. Surface conditions such as scratches, dents, abrasions, scuffs, discoloration or other cosmetic imperfections are generally outside the scope of warranty protection. Consumable items, including batteries, may also be excluded unless the failure of the component or resulting damage is directly attributable to a qualifying defect in materials or workmanship.
Warranty coverage generally does not apply to damage caused by accidents, improper handling, misuse, abuse, neglect, incorrect operation or use outside the product’s intended purpose. Damage associated with flooding, excessive water exposure, fire, severe weather, natural events or other external causes may also be excluded. Products that have been repaired, serviced, modified or altered by an unauthorized person or service provider may not qualify for warranty assistance. Unauthorized changes to the product can affect its operation and may prevent us from determining whether a reported issue resulted from an original manufacturing defect.
Issues caused by incompatible accessories, power sources, adapters, cables or other connected equipment may likewise fall outside the warranty. Customers should use accessories and electrical or data connections that are compatible with the applicable product and are supplied or approved for use with it. Damage resulting from unsuitable power equipment, uncertified adapters or cables that fail to meet applicable technical or safety requirements may not be covered.
Warranty eligibility may also be limited when a product has been acquired, distributed or used in circumstances that violate applicable laws or regulations. Where permitted by law, we may decline warranty service when the circumstances surrounding the product or claim prevent lawful performance of the requested service.
Navigation-related products are intended to provide assistance with travel, positioning and general navigation. They should not be treated as the sole source of information for situations that depend on precise measurements of location, distance, direction, elevation, terrain or other navigational conditions. Maps, positioning information and other navigation data may contain inaccuracies, omissions or changes over time. We do not guarantee that navigation information will always be complete, current or accurate in every location or circumstance.
Navigation performance may also be affected by external electronic interference. Certain mobile phones, wireless devices and equipment operating over terrestrial broadband networks can use frequencies that are close to frequencies associated with global navigation satellite systems. Under some conditions, such interference may weaken, interrupt or otherwise affect satellite signal reception and navigation performance. An interruption or reduction in navigation performance caused by external interference does not necessarily indicate that the product contains a manufacturing defect.
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, the remedies expressly provided under this warranty represent the primary remedies available for a qualifying warranty claim. Any express, implied or statutory warranties that are not legally required may be excluded or disclaimed to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where local law does not permit the exclusion of an implied warranty, the duration of that warranty may be limited to the applicable written warranty period unless the governing law requires a longer period.
Certain jurisdictions do not allow restrictions on the duration of implied warranties or do not permit the exclusion or limitation of incidental, special or consequential damages. As a result, some provisions of this warranty may not apply to every customer. Nothing in this warranty is intended to remove mandatory rights or remedies provided by the laws applicable to the relevant purchase.
When a valid warranty claim is accepted during the applicable coverage period, the remedy may involve repairing the product, replacing it with another unit of appropriate quality or, where permitted and appropriate, refunding the original purchase price. Repairs may use new components or previously used components that satisfy applicable quality standards. Replacement products may be new or recertified units of comparable functionality and quality. The remedy offered will depend on the specific circumstances, product availability, applicable law and the nature of the reported defect.
A product that has been repaired or replaced may receive additional limited warranty protection. Unless a longer period is required by applicable law, the repaired or replacement unit may be covered for ninety days from the date of service or for the remaining portion of the original warranty period, whichever provides the longer period of applicable coverage.
Before requesting warranty service, customers are encouraged to review available troubleshooting instructions, product documentation and support resources. Some difficulties involving setup, operation, configuration or software can be resolved through ordinary troubleshooting without returning the product for service. If the issue continues after reasonable troubleshooting and appears to qualify for warranty protection, customers should contact us at garminretailer@gmail.com for assistance.
When submitting a warranty request, customers may be asked to provide proof of purchase, the product model or identification information, order details and a description of the problem. Other information may be requested when reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim. Customers may receive specific instructions concerning packaging, shipping or service procedures. Products should not be sent to a service location until appropriate return or warranty instructions have been provided.
Warranty assistance requested in a country different from the location where the product was originally purchased may be subject to additional conditions. Products, replacement parts, technical specifications, regulatory requirements and service capabilities can differ between countries. Because of these differences, an equivalent repair or comparable replacement may not always be available. Where appropriate and legally permitted, an alternative remedy may be offered based on local availability and service resources.
When international warranty service requires a product to cross national borders, the customer may be responsible for complying with applicable import, export and customs requirements. Duties, taxes, brokerage charges, transportation costs and other fees associated with international shipment may also be the customer’s responsibility. In certain jurisdictions, local regulations or product-specific restrictions may make international warranty service unavailable.
Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, unapproved online stores or other sources outside authorized distribution channels may not qualify for warranty coverage where applicable law permits such limitations. Customers may be required to provide an original receipt, order confirmation or other acceptable evidence showing that the product was purchased from an authorized seller. Documentation from auctions or similar secondary marketplaces may not always establish eligibility for warranty service.
When a product was purchased through an independent retailer or other third-party seller, that transaction may also be governed by the seller’s own return and service policies. Customers should retain receipts, invoices and other purchase records and should contact the original seller when assistance is required for a transaction completed through that seller.
Some categories of products may be governed by warranty terms that differ from the standard consumer coverage described here. Specialized products, including aviation, marine, recreational vehicle and certain audio-related products, may have separate warranty arrangements or different coverage periods. The warranty applicable to a particular product depends on its category, purchase location, applicable documentation and governing law.
For products purchased outside the United States, local consumer protection requirements and warranty arrangements offered by distributors may provide additional rights or service options. The scope, duration and availability of these protections can vary by country or region. Customers who are uncertain about the warranty process applicable to an international purchase may contact us at garminretailer@gmail.com for further assistance.
For customers located in Australia, statutory consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law may apply in addition to the limited warranty described here. These mandatory protections can include rights relating to acceptable quality, major failures, repair, replacement, refunds and reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude or restrict any Australian consumer guarantee or other right that cannot legally be excluded.
This warranty applies only to the extent allowed by applicable law. Its purpose is to provide a defined process for addressing qualifying defects while preserving mandatory consumer protections that may vary by jurisdiction. Warranty eligibility and available remedies depend on the product, purchase circumstances, nature of the reported issue and applicable legal requirements.
